Pre-Order: What is it and how does it work?
Posted by Crystal Clark on September 22, 2016
What is a pre-order?
Pre-orders are orders made before the fabric comes in. We offer a limited amount of yardage for the discounted pre-order pricing.
How do I know what is available for pre-order?
All pre-order items can be found on the pre-order page. We typically offer multiple pre-order rounds each month, from February-November.
Why would I want to pre-order?
Pre-order pricing is lower than retail pricing, and you are guaranteed to get the print. The reason it is priced lower is because you have to wait for it. Pre-order can take 6-12 weeks, but are typically closed and shipped out to you within 8 weeks from the original date the pre-order was posted.
Do you offer layaway?
Yes, we offer layaway on pre-order items only.
All orders $50+ qualify for layaway.
You will need to place your order through the website, and use the correct coupon code for your layaway option choice (which changes with each pre-order round, and can be found in the blog section of this website). You will be charged a non-refundable deposit of 30% of your order total at the time of purchase.
Please be sure to create an account so you will have access to your order at all times.
Please register your PayPal email address on your account.
INVOICES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY THE DUE DATE
ONLY PRE-ORDER ITEMS CAN BE PLACED ON LAYAWAY.
If you want to purchase in stock items, you will need to make a separate regular order for them.
Pre-order items are listed in retail 1-2 weeks after all pre-orders from that round have shipped.
*Please note: I do not deactivate the website while I am cutting and shipping a pre-order round. Retail orders are handled as usual during that time. Pre-order rounds are cut and shipped as quickly as possible, but the retail end is where my paycheck comes from. Pre-orders do not get priority treatment, as those prints are not available in retail until after the pre-order order ship.
How do I know when my order has shipped?
Tracking is always updated on each transaction as the labels are printed. You can check your tracking number by logging into your account, going to your purchase history, and checking the tracking number attached to the order.
