Magnum Opus Diaper Pattern

Magnum Opus is just what it says, my "great work". I have been selling diapers from this pattern for several years, and the AiO design was created by me. I had a patent pending for the AiO inner before I decided to let the pattern go to the public. It is a truly unique style AiO.

This pattern was designed with imagination and ingenuity. Just ask any of the 3,600+ OM fans, this diaper really is the bees knees.

This full color 40 page file contains the pattern pieces and instructions for making an AiO (all-in-one), Ai2 (all-in-two)/cover, and a pocket diaper.

The pages are easily navigated using the table of contents. Print them all, or only the ones you wish to work with.

The pdf was professionally put together, has step-by-step photo instructions, and is available for immediate download upon purchase.

This size range is general. I have sold over 2,000 of these diapers, and have found that they fit from roughly 13lbs-40lbs.

The AiO pattern is design heavy. The photo instructions make it easy for most levels of sewing, but the AiO is geared toward the confident sewist. The Pocket and Ai2/Cover can be easily assembled by a beginner sewist.

    Really the bees knees

Posted by nessahli on Jul 20th 2017

I have made my first set as instructed (aio) and loved the pattern. I have a very chunky baby (at 6 months 22lb) so I got afraid they'd get too small too soon as I was already on the second to last snap row in width. I made another batch but added 2" in rise and another snap row in width and rise. Also added hip snaps and gussets (minkey inner and minkey gussets). No diaper has ever held my little ones pooplosions, this one does!!! This diaper is so perfectly designed it can't fail. I have bought name brand diapers but they all leak eventually (i have a heavy wetter that floods diapers). These, however, are really what you're looking for as no soaking material gets to the outer seams where it could wick out. Mine are a bit bulky as I used minky and the zorb that needs to be encased (hemp behind soakers so PUL laminate is covered and hemp/zorb/minky as inner, and the soaker as well) but will probably try for a just hemp and cotton mix for a trimmer diaper. Oh, and I also sewed lastin on the inner seam allowance on some of them and it works amazing. It leaves no marks at all around legs and back!

    Great pattern!

Posted by Ashley C. on Jul 3rd 2016

This pattern is great. It's very detailed, and I love that the pattern covers each type of diaper. So far I have made the cover, and AIO. The cover was a breeze to make. The AIO has a lot of steps, and difficult parts of sewing that I imagine would be difficult for beginners. But the end result is amazing! After my first, I was hooked. In just one week I have made 7 more! I will be replacing my stash with OMMO AIOs, and selling my name-brand diapers. That's how much I love it!

I'll never need another diaper pattern

Posted by Bonnie on May 23rd 2016

I absolutely love this pattern, and I'm glad it is the only one I've purchased. I'm an experienced seamstress, but I had never sewn a diaper before. The meticulous instructions and photos included in the pattern were extremely helpful and the fit of the pocket diaper is great. I can't wait to try the AIO and AI2 options as well.
    I high recommend this pattern.

    Great diaper pattern

Posted by Jill on Aug 23rd 2015

I'm really happy with the diaper pattern. I've completed one diaper and started 4 more. I love the construction and design of the AIO version. I just wish the weight range started a little smaller because my babies don't usually hit 12 lb until 2 or 3 months old.

    Very nice OS AIO pattern

Posted by HRS on Jul 29th 2015

I was searching for a OS AIO pattern, and this one fit the bill. I love the finished result, it is very absorbent, function wise seems perfect and can't wait to sew more! However, I have been sewing cloth diapers for 5 years, and found the pattern and construction challenging, so do not think the AIO portion would be beginner friendly. The pocket and AI2/ cover would be a better beginner option. Thanks for the great AIO pattern!
